As life rolls along and our young man's experiences with his father increase, his opinion moves from hero toward zero, as the old man pisses, sometimes literally, on the world his son is trying to understand. In the other corner, the lad's mother, divorced and exhausted from a life with his father, begins a slow, hard fought, but inspiring renaissance.
