The fact that Chinese, Pinyin and English are inline keeps the reader in the familiar reading book setting. That is reading from left to right, browsing through books.

The experience of learning a known story - Alice in Wonderland - helps the reader with understanding what is read, but also understand the grammatical nuts and bolts of the Chinese language.

Pinyin and meaning were computer-generated, word segmentation, pinyin and translation may fall short.
