Publisher Description

Insect Musicians is a celebration of the chirps, trills and scrapes of 78 common species of crickets, katydids, locusts, and cicadas native to eastern and central United States and Canada.

The photographs are a delight to behold, but what makes this enhanced eBook unique are the high-quality recordings of each species' song. The text includes information on the natural history of each insect, along with identification tips and range maps.

If you're interested in making sense of the brilliant choruses of insects that are so prominent in late summer and early autumn, Insect Musicians is your ticket to success.

Good but audio failed

I deeply appreciate how this book has helped me to hear, see, and think about the evening insect songs that fill my heart; however, the audio only worked for a short while and then stopped, even after deleting and downloading the book again. Any help would be appreciated.

No sound

Could not get any of the insect sounds to play on my iPad. Purpose of the book is to learn to identify insects by their sounds and appearance. Book is good for appearance, worthless for sounds unless they fix the audio problem.

Audio Playback Issues

Love this but unfortunately having issues playing the audio. I'm using iOS 8.4 and iBooks 4.3. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks!
