Publisher Description
Examining the Role of Interactivity in the Relationship between Use of Internet Pornography and Chinese Adolescents' Sexual Attitudes and Behavior The growth of sexually explicit materials in the forms of nudity, sexy models, and sexual behavior on the Internet seems unabated. Archived data (Ropelato, 2008) suggest that 12% of Web sites totaling 4.2 million are pornographic. Furthermore, pornography sites are the most popular destinations for millions of Internet surfers. Search engine data show that sex is the most searched keyword with 25% of total search engine requests being porn-related (Top 10 Reviews, 2008). The prevalence of pornography online made the Internet known as a "sexual medium" (Peter & Valkenburg, 2006, p. 178).
