Publisher Description
Buy a planet and disappear. That was the plan.
Cole just wanted to stash his credits, vanish from the galactic map, and forget the past. But fate has other ideas—and they start with an unconscious castaway, a wrecked mining camp, and an alien ship buried inside an asteroid.
Now Cole has a problem. Several, actually.
Because the castaway comes with secrets. The camp comes with survivors. And the alien ship? It has an AI who's been alone for thirty-five thousand years and is very eager for company.
Thrust into the center of a mystery spanning millennia, Cole has to decide: keep running, or take a stand—with a talking starship and a crew he never asked for.
Smart-mouthed smugglers. Forgotten tech. A galaxy that won't let go.
If you love snarky heroes, found family, and fast-paced space adventure, It Ain't Over… is your next five-star read.

Fun reads
Interesting how we love the characters but no nothing of how they look?
Decent, but don’t read further
This first book is decent. The next couple are not bad. The basic plot line is fun. I wouldn’t waste any money on the series tho. The characters never really evolve, and the series ending will just piss you off. It is as if the author died and someone added a paragraph to end the series.
It is almost criminal that someone released the last book and then charged for it. I’ll never look at anything by this ‘author’ ever again.

Mr. Kearns is in a league with David Weber and others that I have enjoyed my entire reading life some 50+ years. His writing style is so enjoyable. His characters are rich, but he doesn’t delve so deeply into the maths and technology that you get the gist of it but you’re not overwhelmed. Such great reading I can’t wait to read the rest in this series and I’m looking forward to the next stories of Shepherd security services those were awesome!
