The first time I saw her was across the room at a bar. I had no idea at the time that she was only sixteen. All I knew was that she was beautiful, she was sending me do-me vibes from across the room, and I was fresh off a deployment where there’d been nobody but men for nine of the longest months of my life.
The second time that I saw her was at a court hearing that would decide how long I’d be sent to prison for. She was a cute little curly-haired blonde with wide, expressive eyes, a banging body, and the reason that I’d gone to prison in the first place.
The third time I saw her was through a glass divider of the prison visitation room as she waited for her stepfather, my lawyer, to tell me how sorry he was that he lost my case. Especially when I’d been the one to kill the man that was about to kill his daughter.
The last time, the time that I decided enough was enough, was when I saw her at my bar eight weeks after I’d been set free.
Unlucky for her, I’d stopped being a good guy about two seconds after those bars closed behind me twelve years ago. Now all that was left was a shell of a man that didn’t see the good in anything. Anything except for her.

In LOVE!
I absolutely love the author and all her books but this series on giving second chances has been one of my favorites since the Freebirds series.
4 1/2 Stars!!
4 1/2 Stars!!
This whole book was one wild crazy ride!! As with the last two books in this series our subject is much more serious. As a punishment for saving Swayze’s life Trick is sent to prison by a corrupt system.
Trick and Swayze go through a lot to get to there HEA but when they get there it’s outstanding.
Swayze was a wild child and there connection was sizzling. 12 years later there still hot and bothered.
Never ask a woman that’s drinking wine straight from the bottle how she’s doing. -Life Hack SWAYZE
“I’ll need that shirt back,” he rumbled.
I looked at him over my shoulder and grinned. “You can have it back when you can give me another one that smells like you.”
I’m loving this darker side of LLV. Bring on Hunt and Wyett.
Trick & Swayze steam up these pages!
Trick and Swayze are something else! This story started out like others in this series with a flashback of the past and then brought us to the present. When these two met Swayze was a minor. Well, she was 17. There's only four years between them. Trick goes to jail when he saves Swayze's life, but beats her father to death. I love how these two tried to avoid each other when they end up in the same town, but they're like magnets and can't be apart for long. They steam up these pages. LLV never fails to bring the action with a side of violence and it works! The Revenants do their best to halt human trafficking in their neck of the woods. This was another exciting edition in this series! Jailbait had a good happily ever after. Can't wait for the next story! 4 stars
