I am a die-hard fan of second-chance romances and Willow just slung me out into orbit with Sophie and Madox's complicated but true love relationship. Throughout the book, I couldn't contain my anguish as I witnessed Sophie and Madox dancing around their true emotions. How deeply they loved one another, but their lack of communication often made what they had poisonous. Although they had a type of love that comes around only once in a lifetime, their unfortunate upbringings didn't provide them with the best role models.
After losing Sophie three years ago, Madox knew that if given a second chance, he would have to change his ways. So when Sophie appears at his bar, he knew that he couldn't lose her again. The three years she was gone, Madox wasn't living, he was just surviving. How far will Madox go to show Sophie what she means to him? Can he finally open up and be vulnerable to the one person that means the world to him?
Sophie knew that moving back to New York meant that there was a great possibility she would run into Madox again. Madox, the man that saved her years ago from a fate that would have changed her forever. Madox, her one true love whom she loved more than anything. Madox, the man that makes her feel oh so good but also makes her weak and dependent. Sophie is stronger now and as much as she wants Madox back in her life, the fear that he will consume her makes her try and keep him at arm's length. It was heart-wrenching and painful watching Madox and Sophie struggling to be better together while fighting their past demons. When a truth that involves them and a very unlikely other is revealed, will it bring Sophie and Madox closer together or will it end them forever? I LOVED Madox and Sophie and how they discovered one another again their second time around. I was thrilled when Madox finally opened up and shared with Sophie what she has been waiting to hear. It is never too late for love if two people are willing to make the change and fight for one another.

Though it's not surprising that, Just One More Touch collection has a beautiful book cover. I was able to finish the first novella in Willow Winters Just One More Touch collection, and I have to say it was everything I would ever want in a book. Burned Promises gave me characters that I fell in love with within the first couple of chapters. It gave me just enough smutty goodness, without taking away from a beautiful story. This novella made me laugh, blush, and cry, Well, maybe not in that order. If the rest of her second chance Novelas are as good as Burned Promises then I'm going to fly through the rest of them because I would not be able to put them down. Well, the character ma put it best "I read an article that's said women who read these kinds of books are smarter than the average woman." So pick up what would be called a dirty book (preferably this one) and become smarter than the average woman.

This is a wonderful collection of second chance love stories. They are easy reads packed with all the love and emotion Willow Winters is known for writing. Keep a tissue handy. It’s a great read!
