Publisher Description
Finley Jacobson was obsessed with finding Mr. Right. But now, she's too busy to date. She's trying to figure out her life. After an adventurous youth, she's been in her small hometown for a solid decade. She's starting to wonder if it's where she belongs.
There's definitely one thing she knows for sure…she loathes her best friend's older brother. And guess who's been back in town lately? Yep. You guessed it, that irritating man who she has to be cordial with for the sake of her friendship.
Colter Landon's marketing company has earned him a fancy penthouse in New York City, but the client he really wants to land is back home near the small town where he grew up. He's spent fifteen years trying to stay away from the little town he once called home. And he has zero desire to associate with his sister's friends while he is there. They were annoying when they were kids, and they are just as infuriating now.
These two enemies are doing just fine at staying away from each other, until Colter needs help making a Valentine's Day float for the art museum he wants as his next client. When his sister publicly suggests Finley would be the best person to assist him, the two are forced to work together or admit they can't play nice after all these years.
Will several weeks of forced proximity get them more than just a winning float and a client? Or will these two enemies miss landing the one?

I received a complimentary early release e-book prior to release and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This book was so much fun. It stars two people who grew up together but who are frenemies. They end up working together when they both have to work on a float for the towns parade and that's when they lay down the hate and start to become friends with a very HOT attraction.
There is an age gap between Fin and Colt but its only 6 years. Colt's sister is Fin's best friend, and their families are really close together. Fin started out crushing on Colt but as a teen he said some mean things that made her not like him and when he noticed her at age 21, she treated him really badly and so as the years went by, they became frenemies. That is until Colt asks for help to build a float for local business and that's when he really gets to know grown up Fin.
This was low on drama and angst and was really such an awesome and fun story about growing up and letting small hurts go and letting someone in and taking that risk with your heart. I adored this story so much and I loved seeing all my old friends from Banneker

Landing The One (Brides of Banneker series)

While I swoon over Colter “The Shark” and Finley “Sharkbait”, the wild seniors of the town kept me laughing! What more could a girl want, penis confetti and a penis flask! The chemistry between the main characters is palpable even when they “hate” each other. There are A LOT of characters to learn about and keeping them straight takes a little effort. While this can be a standalone book, I suggest reading the series in order starting with “Scoring The One.” You will get to know the characters and some of their back stories which will make the flow of the story more enjoyable. Colter has been a great book boyfriend and I sure want to be one of the besties with the girls. I even want to live in a small town now! “Landing The One” has enough laughs, tears, angst, and romance to make any girl fall in love. Do not miss this great Rom Com from S.E. Rose, you won’t regret it!
