Liaoning Sights

Liaoning, called “Liao” for short, is situated in the southern coastal region of Northeast China and faces the Bohai Sea and the Yellow Sea on the south, with the Democratic People's Republic of Korea to its east, on the opposite side of the Yalu River. Its central Liaohe plain is one of the three biggest plains of Northeast China and Liaodong peninsula is called the “Golden Triangle” of Northeast China thanks to its location and natural conditions. Liaoning province covers over 150,000 square kilometres and has a population of more than 42 million. With Shenyang as the provincial capital, it has the jurisdiction over 14 cities such as Shenyang, Dalian, Anshan, Fushun, Benxi, Dandong, Jinzhou, Yingkou, Fuxin, Liaoyang, Panjin Chaoyang and Huludao.
