Solid advice for the beginner
Solid guidance for the beginner who has never backpacked and never bought gear. Also good information for those who backpack but are at the mercy of a heavy pack weight. Experienced hikers can pick up a thing or two, most notably the planning of your day to maximize your time on the trail while making sure you were “never there”.
