Customer Reviews
Outstanding espionage thriller written by one of the CIA’s greatest officers
As a fan of espionage thrillers, with the exception of le Carre the reader is usually forced into choosing between unrealistic (but exciting) spy fiction written by individuals without a career in espionage, or books written by former spies that are more memoir focused and lack some of the excitement. This is not the case with James Lawler; his novels are firmly rooted in realistic and intriguing intelligence operations due to his experiences, but still capture the exciting adventure and intrigue that less realistic spy novels chase. Both he, and his books, are the real deal, and will take the reader on a thought provoking and genuine espionage tale that will get their pulse racing and brain questioning the wilderness of mirrors that is eloquently presented. Highly recommend, and looking forward to reading more by this incredible author.
