Publisher Description
In this action-packed thriller, Miami just got a lot more dangerous—especially for one innocent young woman running for her life.
The city of Miami is Detective Tom Moon's back yard. He's always kept it local, attending University of Miami on a football scholarship, and, as a Miami PD officer, protecting the city's most vulnerable.
Now, as the new leader of an FBI task force called "Operation Guardian," it's his mission to combat international crime. Moon's investigative team discovers that the opportunistic "Blood Brothers"—Russian nationals Roman and Emile Rostoff—have evaded authorities while building a vast, powerful, and deadly crime syndicate throughout Europe and metropolitan Miami.
Moon played offense for U of M, but he's on the other side of the field this time. And as the Rostoffs zero in on a target dear to Tom, they're not playing by anyone's rules.
APPLE BOOKS REVIEW
James Patterson is behind some of the most compelling characters in thriller history. Luckily for us, he and James O. Born—his writing partner for the best-selling Michael Bennett series—have concocted a brand-new hero: Miami detective Tom Moon. Moon loves his hometown, where he played college football, walked a beat for the police department, and where he’s now spearheading an FBI task force on international crime. He’s investigating the Russian mob’s involvement in a human trafficking ring that’s transporting kids into southern Florida—and it feels personal. The action in Lost is awesomely intense. Moon is a man’s man, but he’s no brute. He respects his female colleagues and liberally quotes Plato. He also knows police procedure like the back of his hand, and he’s not afraid to bend the rules. As Patterson and Born’s taut story snowballs toward a big finish, you’ll be looking forward to Detective Moon’s next case.
Customer Reviews
Patterson!
Its a good book...I mean, just another story though. New Patterson, definitely is NOT the same as years ago Patterson. It seems you are just pumping out MANY books for the money and to keep your name out there now. I don't review often but its a shame, really! used to be among the giants...needs more imagination more excitement. So yeah overall its another story, and a good one. Could just use ..." more "
Boring. Didn’t finish
Over half way through book and it’s only a story about the police investigators mom and sister and his flirting with a danish police investigator.
