Publisher Description

He wasn’t supposed to fall in love with her...

The Marquess of Overlea’s plan was perfect. Marry the desperate Louisa Evans, saving her and her siblings from ruin, and produce an heir. But when he proposes, Nicholas doesn’t tell her the real reason they must wed so quickly.

They are married when Louisa learns the Marquess doesn’t intend to father his future heir himself. Drawn to her new husband in a way she never expected, Louisa has no intention of agreeing to his scandalous proposition. Instead, she shows him that what is developing between them goes far beyond a typical marriage of convenience.

Nicholas never imagined he would fall in love with Louisa. Despite the distance he tries to put between them, one thing soon becomes clear—he will never allow another man to touch her. Even if it dooms his family’s future.

Loving the Marquess is a Regency Historical Romance. It contains the themes of marriage of convenience,
enemies to lovers, star-crossed lovers, wounded hero.

Loving the Marquess

I really enjoyed the story and the characters and the mystery of his family illness. The HEA was very satisfying.

Good mystery & romance combination!

The storyline was well-written, despite the plot being somewhat simple to figure out—there were a few twists that I didn’t expect!

The characters developed nicely for being a somewhat shorter book, and the love that developed between them was palpable.

I was equally interested in the secondary characters’ stories, and the author did well to keep the interest on the main characters while piquing a desire to learn more about the secondary’s background plot developments in a book of their own.

As for the romance, there were a couple of passionate embraces and a few sexual scenes—something that I do wish I knew ahead of time as I usually lean more toward “clean” romances with more implicit than explicit writing. I really appreciate when authors choose to disclose the level or rating of “heat” in the descriptions of their books—but I often rely on the reviews of others if not, and let me say, to the saucy 80 yr old lady who labeled this a clean love story—you and me have different ideas of “clean” but I had a good laugh about it. Kudos to you, ma’am! :)

Landing a Lord Series

Loved this book and the series! Highly recommend! New age writers need to take notes from this author. Learn to make a story worth reading and for goodness sakes punctuate properly and PROOFREAD! I’m in my late 30s and want to pull my hair with these new writers.
