Publisher Description

"That conversation happened a long time ago, and he didn't say whether he wanted you dead . . . or something worse."

My one true love has vanished into the past so I can seize my destiny here in the present day. It could honestly be worse. Married to my fated mate, raising his children, reforming my people's chauvinistic culture. I'm finally getting the life I always wanted, right?

Too bad Wuotan really has it out for me now.

When my loved ones start meeting gruesome fates one by one, that peaceful life of mine crumbles into dust. Apparently, my ancient enemies have learned that I wield the power to travel time. And if I don't hand it over to them so they can wreak havoc on the Teuton people, they'll butcher everyone I love. What's more precious to me: the people I hold dear, or the world at large?

No pressure.

Things are heating up

Swanie is enjoying time with her Keyholder, family, and friends back in the modern day Muniche. She strives to help her people move past old and outdated practices and tries to inspire change. She gets frustrated when she learns that some don’t wish to change and then new villains appear on the scene and they start causing her lots of grief. Death soon follows and Swanie’s resolve will be greatly tested.

Just a good story told well

Reader beware: EVERYTIME I’ve read the next book in this series, I think that the story cannot possibly get more interesting. But YES! The story just keeps getting better and more intriguing.

I’m more invested than ever in Swanie’s time travel, and the black priest introduced at the end has turned out to be my favorite character of the series so far. Swanie’s story is filled with raw pain and deep tragedy. And yet she still forgives and seeks redemption where it may be found for those who need it and will seize it. Some of the scenes in this book tore at my gut. Made my heart drop. Stirred anger. Filled me with a desire for justice. And didn’t follow an overused formula to do it. Which I loved. Because what I kept wanting and thinking would happen didn’t. What I didn’t think about happening did.

Just a good story told well.
