Rachel Bond looked at the enchanted hawk in her hands and felt afraid.
She walked over to the window and reflected on her sunny surroundings. She had always loved magical Paris with its nosy, noisy nooks. It was a place that encouraged her tendency to feel afraid.
Then she saw something in the distance, or rather someone. It was the figure of Jenny Barlow. Jenny was a ruthless do gooder with brown eyelashes and fragile legs.
