Publisher Description
A story about a poor boy swept away by a kind library mage and the (literal) magic of reading, Magus of the Library is a beautifully-drawn, spirited fantasy adventure, like a Fullmetal Alchemist for all ages!
The Magic of the Written Word
In the small village of Amun lives a poor boy named Theo. Theo adores books, but because of his pointed ears and impoverished life, he isn’t allowed to use the village library. As he endures the prejudice and hatred of the village, he dreams of going where such things don’t exist: Aftzaak, City of Books. But one day, Theo chances to meet a Kafna–a librarian who works for the great library of Aftzaak–and his life changes forever…

Magus of the Library is wonderful
This incredibly innovative and imaginative manga has a wonderful set of characters and uses silhouette puppets to provide back story. These puppet drawing are worth buying the manga albeit the artistry of the rest is way above the norm for this genre and is clearly a work of love.
The female héroïnes so far revealed are rich with wonderfully detailed outfits. There none of the annoying fan service of mini skirts, panties, and cleavage.
I highly recommend this manga for all ages at least volume 1. Get it and share as gifts.
Bravo to the artist and writer. I look forward to Vol 2 and 3.
