Emily was a cute character and Draven was the abused hero. Really touching story that had a little humor thrown in. Enjoyed the book.

This is the first book by Kinley MacGregor that I've read and it will not be my last. I loved everything about it from the tortured hero Draven and heroine Lady Emily to the secondary characters. This book has humor, suspense, honor and intense sexual chemistry. Draven was so poorly treated and tortured by someone who should protect him he looks forward to the day of his death for he has no soul. Lady Emily so swaddled and protected by her father that she dreams of a husband and children but knows her father will never allow her out of his safe keeping. An order from the king to end the fighting between their clans stets them on the path to redemption and death.
If you like a good historical romance then I highly recommend this book.
Oh and don't forget sexy highlanders! *sigh*
