Review: Master of the Opera Act 3: Phantom Serenade

Master of the Opera, ACT 3: Phantom Serenade by Jeffe Kennedy is the third installment in her Master of the Opera serialized tale.

Christy has been found safe and sound after disappearing in the depths of the opera house. She cannot possibly explain that the masked theater ghost is the one she was with, the one that took her. But what plausible excuse can she possibly come up with? It makes no difference because Roman is there to "Rescue" her (even though she's already safe at this point) and he sweeps her away to his palatial home. Never mind that she doesn't really want to go. She isn't comfortable with Roman's behavior but can't quite put her finger on what is wrong. She feels ungrateful so she slaps a smile on her face and accepts his generosity, however pushy he's being.

So the mood of this book is that Roman is controlling and more willing to have the perfect image of a girlfriend than a happy girlfriend. Christine is so caught up in her pull towards the Master that she orchestrates another encounter, and it's HAWT! Throw in some conflict with Carla and you, as the reader, are going to be suspicious of just about everybody.

Will the Master ever take of his mask? Will the jealous rival ever show their face? I don't know but I cannot wait to find out!!!
