Publisher Description
We’ve reached a stage in the evolution of work where meaning is crucial to competition. Scientists, academics and business consulting elites are all weighing in on this problem.
But today’s solutions aren’t working and are destined to fail because, structurally, they are trying to solve the problem the wrong way.
How does an organization respond to the growing demand for meaningful work?
Of course, people need meaning at work. But it’s organizational meaning that is the key to unlocking both individual and collective potential.
In this book, the author takes us on a journey through the insights of Carl Jung, Abraham Maslow, Joseph Campbell, anthropology, biology, and neuroscience to understand what meaning is, how it works and what can be done to engage it.
Meaning at Work is the first articulation of a process that enables everyone to participate in organizational meaning-making.

Read it! Then share it with someone else ..
I spent much of my life and education seeking organizations that drove passion out of people by providing a “sales” culture. I even went to school to get a Master’s Degree in Organizational Management to study culture in organizations and training and how to ignite people. Deep down everyone has certain inter connective parts that either identify or do not identify with an organization. Reading Meaning at Work has made me want to explore with child-like “why’s” the people around me and the people I interact with to figure out what makes people deeply connected thus far more engaged. If you are at all interested in inspiring others or learnign about what makes them make the decisions they have made, you need to spend some time reading this book (more than once) to first find out how they connect to the world around them. And then share it with someone you know because it’s how we change everything about engagement and culture.
