They thought the worst was over…little did they know it was just beginning.
By the final pages of Delta County and Summer of '99, our main characters both found themselves at a crossroads.
Heather Matthews, pregnant and in handcuffs, had an uncertain future ahead of her. Quinn Harstead, newly married and enjoying literary success, found out that someone very close to her held the answers to a mystery from decades before.
The women come together when Quinn pens a bestselling account of Heather's life in Delta County. Just when they think things are getting back to normal, several residents die at the hands of what may be a serial killer. A killer who seems to know a lot about both Quinn and Heather.
How many lives will be lost before this small-town murderer is caught?
Incredible yet Bittersweet Ending to an Amazing Series!
The night I finished reading Summer of 99, I immediately purchased the final book (I think?) in this incredible series that started with Delta County. J.L. Hyde once again has an incredible book that is unputdownable!! A lot of lost sleep from not being able to stop reading this novel that leaves you wanting more after finishing a chapter! This book has such a great pace like the others, with a twist that yet again I did not see coming! I say bittersweet because I really enjoyed all three books in series and sad it came to an end. They’re a must read that is sure to leave you shocked with its twist!!
You did it again!
Another great read!! I loved how you tied all 3 books together. The plot twists were completely unexpected and you keep me guessing till the very end. Can’t wait to see what you come up with next!
