Praised for her “hot and bold”(Kirkus Reviews), the author of Only and Mercy now delivers her most daring novel yet…
She doesn’t depend on anyone for anything. He intends to make her his completely.
Natalie Udall thought her position at the CIA was secure—until protecting her team earned her an armed escort into certain danger. Natalie can’t stand the idea of being secreted away in a cabin in the middle of nowhere, especially since it means sharing close quarters with the controlling bodyguard enlisted to keep her alive.
Gabe MacIntosh joined the military to support his son, trained as a sniper and dealt with death on a regular basis. Now retired and operating a security firm, his first assignment is to protect a CIA agent on the run. She’s strong willed and difficult—and all Gabe can think about is exerting his domination and stripping her of every expectation she has.
Natalie has no intention of giving in to Gabe’s straightforward demands of dominant sex with no attachments—even though the very idea of giving up control thrills her like nothing ever has...
Dimon saturates this raunchy contemporary with enough sex to make a porn star blush, and the characters' witty repartee and well-protected secrets do even more to grab the reader's attention. After being abused, Natalie Udall joined the CIA, determined to never again be a helpless target. When she has to go into hiding from a deceitful fellow operative, she feels betrayed and victimized once again. Gabe MacIntosh, a military sniper turned security firm owner, has more patience than the average man, but when he's brought in to help Natalie hide and stay safe, she rapidly pushes him to his limits. Unfortunately for him, it's his intense attraction to her, not her controlling and demanding demeanor, that's got him all hot and bothered. He can't protect her if he's in bed with her, and the last thing he needs is to get involved with her troubled life, especially since he has plenty of his own demons to battle. Too bad for him she's as stubborn, and as passionate, as he is. Despite the military trappings, this isn't romantic suspense, but a powerful erotic romance filled with strong trust and emotional development.

3 1/2 stars for Mine
I enjoyed this book thoroughly, the writing is tight, the MCs are super cool and their relationship is hot. I would have given it 4 stars except for how frustrated I was to get into it and realize it was 3rd in a series that, apparently, really should be read in order. I wanted to read the first 2 but find I really can't afford them. I read 3-5 books a week and $12.95 is outside my budget.
