Max Nunez Mirrgotti and his brother John are teenagers from Queens NYC, has falling under economic hardship their mother cannot afford the ever growing high cost of rent and moves her family to the Bronx for a new start. The situation worsen and are force to find food from a near by dumpster, in another case tired and hungry, her children attemped to fry a rat on a hot skillet pan. Both brothers promised themselves they would do whatever it takes to never go hungry again, their lives as criminals . . . soon began.

Mirror Mafia is a coming of age story set in the past and present, some of which is rooted in real history from the author’s life. “A Bronx Tale” and “Goodfellas” inspired, It portrays teens growing up in “The Life” in contrast to those born into a Mafia family "Borneirmo", and the relationship they have with headbangers, bikers, and rival gangs during the emergence of hip-hop music, set in the 80's and 90's in the south and east Bronx. Max teams up with Tyrone a bi-racial transgender drug dealer who is the leader of a vicious gang and will at all cost go through great lengths to keep his identity a secret.

After many years Tyrone finds the strength and freedom to be himself a proud gay Trans American something he couldn't do or was aforded long ago. His journey shows his transformation from female to male and from drug dealer to successful doctor, who on the weekends volunteers his time at the neighborhood local pantry, where unexpectedly he reconnects with some of the members of his old gang down on their luck. Tyrone's old partner in crime, also deals with his own sperate secrets, as a teen his girlfriend is physically abusive and he regularly ingages in black magic, in which Italian Americans would find sacrilegious. If both leaders secrets are exposed, it could seriously put their partnership with the Mafia and within their inner circle in jeopardy.
