A year ago, I left my hometown to start a new life due to a broken heart. No, not the kind that comes from a derailed love life. An infection stole my heart’s will to keep beating.

 

And now I’m back in Copper Creek to help my father with the town’s fun-raiser Christmas charity event. What I’m not here to do is spend time with hot firefighter Gavin Ross. Gavin has been my best friend since second grade. He’s also the man who I’ve ghosted for the past year.

Mistletoe Wishes was originally part of the Holiday Heart-On charity anthology. The steamy, laugh-out-loud short story has been expanded to novella length and is now dual POV.
