Misty Hurts Her Foot

When Misty the Greater Glider falls out of a tree and hurts her foot, her friends in Secret Gully gather around to help her.  After much discussion they build Misty a cosy nest on the ground for her to rest in while her foot heals.


The gentle story is a mix of images with text and puppetry segments filmed on location in Secret Gully.  A great book to share with an adult, with an optional narration button for children who don't read as yet.


Secret Gully is a remote valley hidden in the rugged Granite Mountain country of northern NSW.  Peter has been observing the regions unique wildlife for over 30 years.  He has written numerous stories about the creatures and their habitat many of which have been broadcast over ABC radio.  


Peter is a musician and wrote the songs that the puppets sing, and he also created the stunning full bodied puppets.  He created the Secret Gully project to help young children to learn to love the environment and the special creatures of our world.
