Derek and Samantha’s story has them meeting when she goes to investigate if someone is up in the cabin she and a few other’s inherited from a billionaire who passed away. But she finds so much more than a scarred inside snd out vet. These two click but it takes her ex showing up to get these two to see their hea.

Longing for Love
Derek has so many scars - some from a plane crash and some from surviving that crash and some from the Army. He just wants to be left alone in his cabin on the mountain. Samantha is desperate to find The One for her. When she spots Derek, she decides that he is it. His scars don’t bother her at all. Derek has so many walls, it seems unlikely that Samantha can break them all down.
While trying to avoid her ex, somehow Derek gets involved and is now Samantha’s fake boyfriend. It doesn’t take long for the lines to blur for both of them!
I enjoyed reading this author’s novella. It was a quick read but it still managed to pack in all the feels!.
