Perfect Holiday Read
My Christmas Charade is the third book in the Holiday Hat Trick series featuring three friends that each find love. Each book can be read as a standalone, but I think it may make more sense if they are read in order. (Please note that a different novella version of this story appeared in previously released Hockey Holidays anthology, however though this full-length novel features the same characters as the novella version, it really reads as a brand new story, in my opinion.)
Em wrinkles her nose at the loudmouth, unfiltered, meathead Ian, but after their two best friends get married, Em has an idea: What if Ian is the perfect solution to getting her parents to finally appreciated the successful & cultured guys she typically brings home? By bringing home the worst guy for Christmas, anyone else Em brings home next has got to shine in her parents’ eyes! Melanie’s books are always an amazing read! I love Abby, Sophia, and Em...I’m a bit sad that their holiday stories have now come to an end. This was a great and sweet read, with fiery passion between the two characters. You know what they say about hate and love! ;)
Melanie has a knack for creating universes of characters who I wish were real people. Her words paint beautiful imagines of her fictional world and I’m always happy to be able to read my way through her world. Em and Ian were great - I highly recommend this book and the Holiday Hat Trick series!
