Nick and June were best friends for years, until their relationship suddenly turned into something more. Now, June is coping with a new diagnosis of schizophrenia, a secret she asked Nick to keep for too long. Between managing her symptoms and her parents, June is just trying to keep it together. Nick is a reluctant car thief, supporting his aunt with the money and focusing on his art whenever he can. But when June's condition sends her to the hospital and Nick's latest crime threatens to land him in prison, the two decide to run away. When the world is trying to tear them apart, can Nick and June find a way to stay together?
This emotional, lyrical novel will tug at your heartstrings and make you think twice about what you would give up for love, even if it's a piece of yourself.
PUBLISHERS WEEKLY
"This town wasn't a place for beginnings," says high school senior June. She feels constricted by her small Arkansas hometown, but she's not sure where to head instead. Nick, her childhood friend turned boyfriend, feels that he has no choices, and his only escape is through his art. Since Nick's father went to prison two years earlier, and his mother left town with her boyfriend, Nick has begun to follow in his father's footsteps, stealing cars to help him and his aunt pay bills and tackle his father's debts. When June has a mental health crisis and Nick faces a grave challenge of his own, the two confront their choices: stay and deal with the consequences, or hit the road. Alternating chapters in Nick and June's intimate voices detail their joy, stress, and fear. Despite what may seem like a melodramatic premise, this novel by Stanley (Drowning Is Inevitable) features fully dimensional characters in realistically complex situations, and their process of making their own map for the future is inspiring. Ages 12 up.

Got from book store
Bought and I loved it definitely read if you like romance and it does give like a very informational part in a way because of what the girl has and I love that
Captivating
I’m not an avid reader, because I’m a mother of a toddler. So if I take the time to read, I’m picky because I’m not staying up until 2 a.m. to read just anything. My friend Molly Hill shared her colleagues book release photos on her Facebook, and since I had read her first book gave it a try. It was the better of the two, but I enjoyed both. I liked the ending, which is a big deal for me. I also appreciated the attention to details and the images painted in my mind. Job well done :)
