As the Squad Leader of the Elite Warriors, Nikhil Kozar was the largest warrior in the Kaliszian Empire. When a shuttle crashes on one of their planets the search and rescue mission turns into something much more complicated.
Mackenzie 'Mac' Wharton had agreed to guide a group that had wanted an adventure on her mountain. They got more than they bargained for when they were all abducted by a group of aliens called the Ganglians. Badly beaten and barely alive Mac finds herself in the arms of the largest male she’s ever seen. She should fear him, should be fighting to get away from him, but there was something about the massive male that called to her.
A traitor threatens the Empire... Someone wants Nikhil dead.... The Zaludians want Mackenzie back... And then there was the secret she's keeping.... Would it be the one thing that finally brought down the Kaliszian Empire? Or would it be the first step in its rebirth?
I am loving this series. I started here with Nikhil, then Trayvon, then went back to the Tornian books and read through all. I am waiting for Ull to come out, I hope soon.
This series, or even each individual book read alone, has great world building, history, and I think would entitle being an Epic. The characters are very distinct and most likable with the exception for the ‘bad guys’. I definitely recommend for those who like love, adventure, aliens, you will enjoy this book or the whole series. This author is very good, minus some editing issues which are pretty minor and easy to see what was meant, and a bit overuse in the intimate department (which is my opinion only, you may like it).
I’ve not told anything about this book as I think going in without more than the synopsis is a good thing, as it allows you to sink into the narrative without preconception. If you read this, I hope you enjoy this story like I did.
Another great book by a fabulous author!! So excited for the next one!
As usual, a wonderful book. I can't wait for Treyvon to be released. I've read all her books and enjoyed every one. I recommend them enthusiastically!
