Publisher Description
I created this piece because I needed a place to put my tenderest thoughts on god.
The ones I am afraid to speak sometimes but need to, and do, in the privacy of my own home and space.
The ones that are just between me and god.
The god I KNOW, that is.
Because so many things I hear about god, even from those who seem to believe the same things I do, so wildly differ from the god I know, that I noticed a trend coming up in my inner conversations, which was repetition
of the words:
"...that's not the god I know."
This was an important turning point for me.
The discovery and experience of the god I know,
as only I could know it.
To mine that open field for the gifts of
what is true to my own soul.
And it is my hope that by sharing this
it will inspire you to get to know
the god that YOU know,
in the way that
only you
could.
...
I am using the word god in this book because it's the one that feels the best to my heart. But it took me a long time to get there. I've called it life, love, universe, source, divine, cosmos, consciousness, and all kinds of other names, but god just hits home the most direct in my body and soul. Which is a bit unfortunate I honestly sometimes feel, because there are SO many not-very-beautiful stigmas and impressions and ideas attached to that word, and I so often worry that people think I'm talking about THAT god, when I say god. And yet every time I try to use another word, or use ALL the words, it just falls flat. It strips away that powerful blooming inside that I feel when I let myself use the simple word god. It kind of feels like the other names are fine and will do in a pinch, like a mailing address, a pager or a fax line...
but 'god' is direct connect.
For me anyway.
So when I say god, I mean: universe, life, love, source, divine, cosmos, consciousness, the one appearing as the many, the fabric of all that is.
