Publisher Description
With wedding plans underway, Brantley Walker and Reese Tavoularis are attempting to strike a balance between work and their personal lives. After a hectic summer, they finally have a moment to catch their breaths. At least until their talented hacker, Jessica James, jinxes them. The next thing they know, they’re in New York City, tracking down one of their own.
Amidst rising tensions within the task force members, their mission becomes increasingly complex, and perhaps a tad entertaining. But not for everyone. For Reese, bad memories are stirred up, forcing him to face his past.
A trip that is relatively straightforward in scope turns out to be anything but. It’s only when they realize they’ve veered off course that Brantley starts to question their true mission.

Holy Cliffhanger!!
Off Course is the 9th book in the Brantley Walker:Off the Books series. We get more of Brantley and Reese, JJ and Baz, and the rest of the team. Brantley and Reese are counting down the days to their wedding. Baz and JJ are counting down to when peanut is due. The cliffhanger is unbelievable!! I can’t wait for the next book to come out.
It’s the good stuff!
I have to start by saying I have loved every book in this series. I love Reese and Brantley. This book was different than the others. But it was the difference that made me love it so much. Aside from new characters being thrown in, there was more mystery and intrigue laid down. It was the beginning of what could be several new storylines within the Walker family tree. But remember, it’s a BIG tree. Lots and lots of branches. There is just a lot to process with this book. I found myself trying to remember if some of the new names weren’t really new or were they mentioned in an afterthought in another book. I’m still wondering that. I have a feeling I will be rereading quite a few of Nicole Edwards novels after this. There is so much to say, but I would not want to ruin the book for anyone. It is one those books that you need to absorb the information as you are reading it. You will not be disappointed!
Readers Sent Off Course
Off Course by Nicole Edwards takes the Off the Books Task Force off course to New York, New York to search for an agent who had missed his past three check-ins. This is the 9th book in this series. The problem was that every source the team interviewed about Decker’s role and whereabouts in New York gave conflicting information, including their Sniper 1 Security oversight manager, Reece’s brother Z. The book follows the usual course for this series. The Task Force gets a case, and they work the case while the reader is treated to the ongoing lives and love stories of the team members. In this novel, the reader learns more about the newest team member, Atticus James as well as the continuing romances between Brantley and Reese, JJ and Baz, and the unfolding romance between Becs and Evan. I really enjoy getting this in depth dive into these relationships as they evolve, and am envious of how explosive the carnal aspects are. I felt that something was a little off with this book, but I believe that it was intentional. I strongly suspect that this novel led readers off course as well, but provided us with small, crucial crumbs of information that will fall into place in upcoming volumes of this series. Anyone who has read Rafe is aware that the bomb dropped at the end of that novel will heavily involve the task force in the near future, and I am eagerly awaiting that day. Nicole Edwards has given us another well-written book. I am recommending this book for readers who enjoy MM and MF romantic suspense novels. I am voluntarily submitting this honest review after reading an advanced complementary copy of this book thanks to Nicole Edwards.
