Stirred by an old photo of his grandfather, Patrick embarks on a life-changing journey to his ancestral home on the Amalfi coast after the death of his parents and the breakup of his marriage to Girard.  He discovers secrets about his past and forges a new relationship that upends cultural traditions in the close-knit village set amongst terraced vineyards overlooking the Mediterranean. The story celebrates the sensuality of the Italian coast – with beautiful vistas, sumptuous meals, fragrant sea breezes and, of course, the arousal of new love – all under the watchful eye of the departed who are surprisingly close and intricately involved in the unfolding of events.
