Publisher Description
A heartwarming stand-alone novella from New York Times bestselling author Elizabeth Hoyt!
Adam Rutledge, Viscount d'Arque, really rather loathes Christmas. The banal cheerfulness. The asinine party games. And, worst of all, the obligatory trip to the countryside. His grandmother, however, loves the holiday---and Adam loves his grandmother, so he'll brave the fiercest snowstorm to please her. But when their carriage wheel snaps, they're forced to seek shelter at the home of the most maddening, infuriating, and utterly beguiling woman he's ever met . . .
Sarah St. John really rather loathes rakes. The self-satisfied smirks. The sly predatory gazes. Oh, and the constant witty banter rife with double meaning. But in the spirit of the season, she'll welcome this admittedly handsome viscount into her home. But as the snowstorm rages, the Yule log crackles, and the tension rises, Sarah and Adam find themselves locked in a fiery, passionate kiss. If love is the true meaning of Christmas, it's the one gift this mismatched pair can't wait to unwrap.

Fun Christmas romance
Adam Rutledge, Viscount d’Arque had no love of Christmas but he loved his grandmother. That’s why he’s now stuck at a Christmas house party with Lady Sarah St. John a harpy that will not even give him the time of day. Sarah knows the kind of man Adam is and wants nothing to do with a rake such as him. The only problem is the more time their around each other the more masks fall and personas fade and the true person shines. Only their walls remain and those might be to hard to crack.
Loved this Christmas short romance. It packed everything you look for into its few pages and you will fall in love with the characters. Witty banter and sexual tension flows as you watch Adam and Sarah dance around each other and fight their feelings.
Christmas
Adam Rutledge is a rake. Sarah St. John despises rakes (for good reason). When a carriage accident makes it necessary to spend the holidays together, sparks fly. They don’t get along at all, until they do.
This is a wonderfully endearing and humorous holiday story set in the Maiden Lane world. Adam, Sarah, and their friends and family are wonderful. The story draws the reader and Adam into a happy family Christmas (there is one brief unpleasant scene). It is definitely a holiday treat.
