With the mysterious King Nemesis circling for the kill, they must learn to trust one another again. Together, can they discover his identity and bring him to justice before he finds and kills the person most precious to them in the world?
The stakes could not be higher. Their love. Their lives. Their daughter.

Awesome
Ellie and Dan have a long history, from the streets of London to the battlefield in Spain. Both served under Colonel Lionel O’Toole. They were lovers in Spain, but were torn apart by betrayal. She seeks him out (she is being blackmailed to kill him) in England to help her save someone precious to both of them. This is another riveting story from the Lion’s Zoo, a fast-paced page-turner with mystery, suspense, treachery, a new master criminal to find, twists and turns, danger, and drama. There are a few misunderstandings caused by a treacherous liar that need to be resolved, but everything sorts out as it should, and a family finds their happily ever after. The characters are great. Ellie and Dan are smart and brave, and are definitely meant for each other. Lion and Dorothea are here to help along with other members of Lion’s crew. Max is a gem. I look forward to his story.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
