To Wed a Proper Lady
Publisher Description
Everyone knows James needs a bride with impeccable blood lines. He needs Sophia’s love more.
James must marry to please his grandfather, the duke, and to win social acceptance for himself and his father’s other foreign-born children. But only Lady Sophia Belvoir makes his heart sing, and to win her, he must invite himself to spend Christmas at the home of his father’s greatest enemy.
Sophia keeps secret her tendre for James, Lord Elfingham. After all, the whole of Society knows he is pursuing the younger Belvoir sister, not the older one left on the shelf after two failed betrothals.

The Foreign Heir
This historical romance had an exotic feel to it with an heir returning from a foreign land after he had married a foreign princess bringing with him his half-English son James, who would one day be a Duke. There are claims against the right to the title and whether or not the marriage was legitimate along with threats against their lives. Meanwhile, James is tasks with marrying a wellborn English lady and from his first meeting with her he has his heart set on Lady Sophia. If only her brother would accept him and she would accept his hand during the time his father mandated that he marry before his grandfather passes away. I loved the horses and employees James brought back with him that were all strong, tough, and unique.
Not paradise
Charming and unusual.
That’s what I liked.
Janes is a viscount, the grandson of a duke. His father, also James had his own story. In a nutshell, James is half Iranian but his grandfather wants him to wed a proper English lady.
Sophia is way to used to being overlooked for her sister Felicity. She’s had two failed engagements and is firmly on the shelf.
I enjoyed this book and can recommend it.
