The intrigue of war
The descriptions and details of this story are fabulous. I loved it from start to finish.
Meticulously researched.
This had me from the beginning. The research done, and the weaving of all the stories is brilliant. This is the factual story which was the basis of “The Man Who Never Was.” So many heroes, making it up as they went along in WWII. Ben Macintyre puts it all together as he has in so many books before this. Totally engrossing.
