An untested young woman must claim her place as the Oracle—and contend with a powerful Djinn—in this novel of the Elder Races.
As a second daughter, Grace Andreas never had to worry about the intrigues of the Elder Races. But when her sister, Petra, and her husband are both killed, Grace inherits the Power and responsibilities of the Oracle of Louisville, as well as her sister’s two young children—neither of which she is prepared for.
Yet, she is not alone. Khalil, Demonkind and Djinn Prince of House Marid—driven by his genuine caring for the children—has decided to make himself a part of the household both as their guardian and as an exasperating counterpoint to Grace’s impudence towards the Elder Races.
But when an attempt is made on Grace’s life, she realizes that Khalil is the only one can protect her—and offer her more than any mortal man...
PUBLISHERS WEEKLY
Harrison's fourth Elder Races paranormal (after Serpent's Kiss) is set in an intriguing world where human society knowingly intermixes, sometimes uncomfortably, with seven otherworldly groups. At age 23, college student Grace Andreas inherits the Power of the Oracle upon the death of her sister, Petra. She also gets custody of Petra's two children, four-year old Chloe and nine-month-old Max, and a pile of debt. Dealing with an all-powerful djinn is low on her list of priorities, but Grace has to admit she could use the protection offered by Khalil, Djinn Prince of House Marid, after a deadly argument erupts on her land. Besides, who wouldn't want a babysitter who can shape-shift into the world's most tolerant doggie-cat? Grace's human limitations are pushed to the edge as she learns to wield her new powers. Series fans and new readers alike will cheer her on.

Favorite Elder Races book
Grace and Khalil’s story is the best of the series, maybe with the exception of Dragon Bound. Absolutely loved it.
:-)
Love her books and this one did not let me down.
Excellent Urban Fantasy Romance
The fourth book in Harrison's Elder Races series is filled with adventure, romance and eroticism. Grace and Khalil are terrific, well-developed and sympathetic characters. Harrison does a great job of slowly and realistically developing their romance; Grace and Khalil are so radically different from one another that they have to come to understand one another before there is any chance of falling in love. Plus, Chloe and Max are adorable. Highly recommended to fans of urban fantasy and romance, with one big caveat -- Oracle's Moon picks up *immediately* after Serpent's Kiss, and references multiple characters and incidents from the preceding books. If you start with Oracle's Moon, you'll be lost: start at the beginning with Dragon Bound.
