Own It

Own It is the first in a new series by Elisabeth Barrett. I could not put down this book! In this fantastic story, we meet Emma Crandall and Aiden Phelan....two people who were once married and are now divorced. Since the divorce, Emma has gone out on her own starting a marketing company while Aiden has worked at his family's brewery, Wolfshead. The beginning of the story finds them reunited through Aiden's recently deceased grandfather who leaves part ownership of the brewery to Emma...something Aiden severely resents.

Aiden and Emma's story is one of second-chance romance. There is so much to love about Own It. Emma is a strong, caring person. I love the relationship she has with both Aiden's family as well as with her own father. Aiden is the oldest of the younger generations of Phelan's. The family sucked me right in, making me love all of them. You can feel his deep sense of responsibility both towards his family as well as the business, which is just branching out into distilling whiskey. There is a very strong chemistry between Emma and Aiden that has you cheering them on as they find one another again.

Elisabeth Barrett's Own It is only the beginning. She has written strong, likable characters that make you want to pull up a barstool, hang out with them, and see how they all find their HEA. I cannot wait to read more about the Phelan family. I highly recommend this book and look forward to the next one.

Do you love a good family series? Yes! Good me too, and this one does not disappoint! This is the first book in Elisabeth’s It Factor series and it’s a winner! This book will hook you in from the first page and leave you twiddling your thumbs in anticipation of the next in the series. Aidan and Emma have a long history together and when they are forcefully tossed back into each other's lives they must deal with a bunch of unresolved issues before they can find their HEA.

Aidan is a big burly bearded man who is stubborn and thinks he has everything figured out and knows what’s best until Emma takes everything he knows to be true and shows him it could be even better. I love a good second chance romance and this is one of the best I have read in a while. I also love a family series since I always get invested in the lives of the secondary characters and want to see how their stories play out. If you are a fan of Bella Andre’s Sullivan series or Marie Force’s Butler Vermont or Gansett Island series than don’t think twice about this book it’s exactly what you are looking for and you will love it. I have read all of Elisabeth’s books and I think they are all wonderful but this one is by far her best yet and sets the stage for what I’m sure is going to be an incredible series.

LOVED this one!! This is just the first book in a new series and judging from this book it will be a great one. A family owned business is the center of the series and the Phelan's have owned Wolfshead for generations. Now after the passing of his grandfather, the Phelan's are forced to accept an outsider now owns a part of the business. Not just any outsider though. The ex wife of the current CEO Aidan. Being forced to work with Emma will be a struggle for Aidan. He's never really gotten over her leaving him even if he does understand her reasons why. These two go on a wild ride that will force them to confront their past and look to the future.

An absolute must read. I highly recommend it.
