Superlative réanimation!
I loved every sentence of this book. First captured by the excellently « historical » painting of thought and depth of culture, I could not stop reading until it finished. The characters are well felt; we feel a synchrony as we experience their worldviews and the transformations they work through. The well-placed turns in the story’s twists are both revelations and satisfying. I really delight in stories of King Arthur and of Camelot. Ms Rowntree deftly created a wonderful new vison to join the chronicles of those legends. I must read much more of Susannah Rowntree !! Bravo!!
