If Francine Rivers met Friday Night Lights …
Emily has finally landed her dream job on a remote Maine island—where everyone is obsessed with basketball.
The island is friendly and welcoming at first, but is there a dark undercurrent running through this culture? There are signs that something isn't quite right, and when Emily starts poking around, she meets a resistance that suggests something isn't quite right.
Are they really going to fire her just for asking questions? Is the handsome lobsterman really interested in her? Is he in on the secret too?
There are so many questions. What will it cost Emily to learn the answers?
(This standalone novel is the first in the completed Piercehaven Christian Fiction Trilogy.)

The Power Of Prayer And Believing In God’s Truth Preformed Miracles
Emily as a language teacher was a gift from God to the island school. There were struggles and test along the way. She had the best interest for the students and girl’s basketball team. The Power of prayer and believing in God’s truth preformed miracles. She even found love in the mist of turmoil. Highly recommend you read this book.

Didn’t realize it was a Christian book and I generally won’t read them. The writing was above average, but as a teach in public schools the heroine did cross the line many times in this book. If you choose to read this, remember the students that have other faiths or don’t believe the way the heroine does will feel uncomfortable and unwelcome in their own school.
