Publisher Description
Twenty-five-year-old Jack Sparrow is a clean-cut merchant seaman pursuing a legitimate career as a first mate for the East India Trading Company. He sometimes thinks back to his boyhood pirating days, but he doesn't miss Teague's scrutiny or the constant threat of the noose. Besides, he doesn't have much choice—he broke the Code when he freed a friend who had been accused of rogue piracy, and he can no longer show his face in Shipwreck Cove. When Jack's ship is attacked by pirates and his captain dies in the altercation, he suddenly finds himself in command.

Mega Awesome ...
Fun. Exciting. Moving. Mega Enjoyable Read. 10 Stars!!!
Great Read!
I am really not much for writing a review but I felt I should at least warn any reader who is interested in reading this book. It's amazing sadly we couldn't get more reads from this amazing author! If your a fan of Pirates of the Caribbean this book will constantly grab your attention and take you on a vivid adventure on the high seas with the one and only Captain Jack Sparrow!
Amazing!
Kept my attention, all the characters feel very real and personable, the story is fantastic. It's a bit confusing in the beginning with the back and forth of present to past but it all comes together really well. This was an amazing prequel to the movies. I really wish they'd make this into a film but some how I don't think they could even capture the story like this book does.
A must read.
