Publisher Description
Return to a world of secrets and desires. In the sultry second installment of an eBook original serial from the New York Times bestselling author of Ruined and Addicted, Aria and Sebastian turn up the heat. But will they get burned?
My name is Aria Winston. I’ve fought desperately to escape the seedy underbelly of Las Vegas. Now I’m on my own, in control of my own life and my own destiny . . . just the way I like it. Until Sebastian Caine changes everything.
If getting tangled up with her new boss is wrong, Aria doesn’t want to be right. Powerful men usually have a way of thinking they can take whatever they want while giving nothing back, but Sebastian is different. He’s gentle with her body. Rough in all the right places. And hot enough to make Aria break every last rule she’s set for herself. But with her history, it’ll take more than mind-blowing sex to heal the pain deep inside . . . no matter how good Sebastian’s intentions are. She’s spent her entire life fighting for control of her own life, and no one’s going to take that from her. But the more time she spends in Sebastian’s world, the deeper she’s drawn into his sensual games.
Play Me is intended for mature audiences. Aria and Sebastian’s story continues in Play Me: Hard.

Jumping right in with the end of the first book
Jumping right in with the end of the first book: Sebastian is testing Aria’s boundaries and the compulsive needs and desires of the two for one another. Some seriously hot sexual scenes where Aria is brought through the highs and highers, only to instantly cross over into sub-space: that space where all conscious thought is null, and the responses from Aria are all yes: her desires to please and be all that Sebastian needs are foremost, self-preservation is not even on the table.
For his part, Sebastian is trying to exert care and control – but the obsession for her takes him further, and her quick exit have her reacting to the highs of their encounter with a crash that is stronger and more confusing to her than her fascination or fear of what Sebastian represents. His attempts to exert his control and knowledge further on her only lead to more insecurities. Wolff is using the alternating first person to keep readers engaged and aware of each character’s concerns and struggles, and this makes for a gripping read.
Each installment in this serial is 5 – 6 chapters, a whole book of 250 ish hard to put down pages. I’m not certain I agree with the marketing tactic on this – a single full length book would feel less daunting and frustrating to readers – but overall this was a solid and gripping read – full of tension, emotion and steam.
I received an eArc copy of the title from the publisher via NetGalley for purpose of honest review. I was not compensated for this review: all conclusions are my own responsibility.
Review: Play Me #2: Play Me Hot
Play Me #2: Play Me Hot by Tracy Wolff is the second book in her 5-part serial, Play Me.
Book 2 begins right where one left off...
Tell me, Aria. How much does control mean to you? How far will you go to get it? ~ Sebastian
...up against the window in Sebastians penthouse level office. Right away we are treated to the wickedly hot stuff we were waiting on at the end of book one. I also learned some new things with this installment. During their first wicked interlude Sebastian notices Aria going into subspace (I looked it up, an endorphin high brought on my BDSM play, makes you sluggish, can cause a form of tunnel-vision, and happy happy etc). Immediately after their Ah-Maze-Ing scenes upagainst the office window overlooking Vegas Aria heads for the bathroom essentially shutting Sebastian out. Her issues are causing her to retreat from him and she heads back to work. After the type of "play" they just had there should have been some downtime, but there wasn't. As a result she heads into subdrop (after subspace, if not taken care of properly, the drastic drop in endorphin levels in the body can leave one feeling exhausted, depressed, lonely, miserable). He insists on taking care of her, SHE insists on finsihing out her shift and you can already tell the balance of power is going to be a constant battle between these two.
He gives her a choice...
"Choose," I tell her when I finally have my s*#t together enough to speak. "Now. Because one way or another, you're leaving this casino with me."~ Sebastian
