Imaginative and the kids love it
They didn’t quite know what to make of it at first and I worries the animations would be a distracting gimmick—not so. It’s one of those books they ask read immediately again once we reach the last page. Humorous, imaginative, delightful.
ingenious
This picture book is great so many ways: first, for the clever animations, which bring the gorgeous illustrations to life, and second for the story itself, which is playful and fun in getting everything turned all around. There's a wonderful atmosphere of surrealist-era Paris in these pages, too. Wonderful ... or should I say 'lufrednoW'?)
