The title of this book really set me off. I have been praying prayers for decades without seeing a lot of change, in fact, many times it felt like I shouldn’t even tackle praying because when I talked to the Lord, situations seemed to intensify! After reading the first page I found a life changing shift. Jesus is dying to talk to me, and He truly cares! So grateful for helping me find topics that the Lord desires to talk about....ME!
A Personal Encounter with the Living God
My favorite part of my relationship with God is that He talks to me. His voice is my breath. His words give me life! Questions for Jesus provides a platform for conversation with God. After reading a brief scripture and inspirational passage, I pause to ask and listen to Him answer questions about who He is and how He relates to me. Suggested questions are open-ended and assume God's goodness and desire for relationship with me. This is a great devotional! Questions for Jesus is an amazing springboard for fun and revelatory dialogue with God. I've spent years asking business questions of Jesus; where should I go, what should I do, with whom, when, etc. For some reason He rarely answered those questions. Questions for Jesus led me on an exciting journey of learning to ask the questions Jesus longs to answer - questions of the heart. Once I started asking "lover questions," a whole new world of intimacy w Jesus opened up. I love the conversations I now have with Him! He really wants to be known for who He is, not just for what we can do for Him or for what we want Him to do for us. This book is a treasure map for that discovery!
