Quill & Quest: Washington, DC

Make Washington, DC more than a sightseeing trip-turn it into a family quest.

Quill & Quest: Washington, DC is a screen-free travel companion for curious explorers ages 8-12 and the grown-ups exploring beside them. Across 21 real Washington, DC locations, children hunt for details, solve mysteries, sketch, imagine, reflect, and create.

Inside are 184 mysteries and creative challenges spanning landmarks, museums, memorials, gardens, neighborhoods, and stories from the nation's capital. The Pick / Hunt / Prove / Create system gives families an easy way to choose a quest, investigate a place, make a discovery, and turn what they found into a field-journal memory.

Children can:

• Explore 21 location-based quests across Washington, DC

• Look closely at landmarks, objects, symbols, and stories

• Complete mysteries and creative challenges rather than simply read facts

• Earn Quill Points and rise through the Guild ranks

• Use the book before a trip, during a day of sightseeing, or afterward

• Take on the special 90-minute National Mall challenge

Created from the travel games Eric Koester made for his own family, Quill & Quest is designed to help families notice more, talk more, and remember more. Bring it to the capital-and make the adventure your own.
