Railroad Commission Texas Et Al. v. Southern Pacific Company

Southern Pacific Transportation Company, formerly Southern Pacific Company, applied to the Railroad Commission for authority to discontinue the companys railroad agency at Elsa, in Hidalgo County, and to transfer that agencys duties to Edinburg, a distance of about twelve miles. In its technical aspects the application sought to discontinue the existing agency, retire the depot, and change applicable tariffs to show Elsa as a non-agency station.
