Reckless

Loved it! Great book, but it was clear Tyler had a somewhat sexist behaviour in some cases. Not too much to my liking but it’s tolerable since it wasn’t excessive in the narrative.

Even though I’ve already read Reckless in paperback four or five years ago, I couldn’t help myself to buy the digital copy. It was hot and intriguing to revisit and read Tyler and Calandra’s story again! I’ve always liked Tyler because he’s the least dominant and an old fashioned but humble man who happens to be a professional bodyguard for a personal security company. The nick name the ‘Rower’ was first introduced in the first of the Alpha Bodyguard series, Scandalous, Tank’s story, it truly stuck with me all this time because Talon, the lovable former medic from the Marines gave him that and I laugh my head off?!? I admired Tyler’s humble personal background and he was always so kind and supportive of his family. You could say he has a way to warming the heart of a well-guarded but poised out of the country princess just being himself. I’m glad the digital version of Reckless was still available to purchase on the Apple Books store. Love Damian Tyler as much as I love Shade and Jared a lot more.😜

This is Tyler’s book at long last. He has been one of my favorites since we first met him in the Uncompromising Series. He gets a new assignment when a princess asks for him by name. Calandra needs a bodyguard, but she is not very forthcoming about the reason she needs someone to attend a couple of events with her. Tyler and André (Tyler’s boss) both know she isn’t telling them the truth, but Tyler has an instant attraction to her and takes the assignment anyway. This story is pretty much insta-love, but I don’t mind that. I really enjoyed their story, it has all the action and suspense I’m used to from this author with cameos from some of our past favorites. Overall a very good read.
