Enduring Love
The second book in the Ember Lake series lives up to the high standards set by the first. Livie and Royce are made for each other but tragedy has kept them in the friend zone for way too long. This is very much a first love story. Livie was Royce's first love but she just didn't realize it. Royce's strength is amazing, he stepped aside when Livie didn't choose him and has stood by her side for all these years. He's always there for her and she truly needed him. Helped her get through her painful loss and was basically the best friend anyone could ask for. The fact that he put aside his personal feelings to give to her what she needed at the time shows a strength of character that we can only hope to achieve. The family and small town aspect of this story and series just seal the deal. This has to be one of the best stories I've read in a long time.
