Publisher Description

Reports from the Wild is an enhanced photo e-book about nature in some special places, including some special subjects, all shown off with nature photography, video and interactive images. The author/photographer takes the reader to places like Death Valley, the Everglades, seasons, and the chaparral to look closely at the nature of those places and how we see them. Then the book brings the reader into very close contact with some unique "characters" of those places. Throughout the book, beautiful photography and video show off and illustrate the nature discovered in the text. Each chapter also includes how-to photo information so that the reader might discover his or her own connection to nature through photography.

    Inspirational

Rob has broken the mold of traditional publishing and provided us with a unique approach to nature literature. The images in the book are spectacular and cover subjects we rarely hear about. I hope that this book represents a growing style of writing and presentation. Thank you Rob for taking the first bold step, may many others follow your example.

    Wonderful book.

Rob has always been a thoughtful and generous photographer since his days at Outdoor Photographer. His passion for the outdoors as well as his knowledge of photography has continued to inspire and educate me on what's possible as a photographer. This book provides some great value for anyone who is eager to improve their photography. He shares with a clear and a concise why that is anything but pedantic. I highly recommend it.
