Keep them guessing
I received this book from Meli Raine on an ARC list in exchange for an honest review. There is so much going on my head is spinning. First we have Carrie's story and how she wants to clear her dad's name. Next up are Brian and Elaine, they know more than they are letting on. Then her best friend Amy is taken by a serial kidnapper. If that isn't enough intrigue for you, then there is Eric and Claudie, "The Claw". I am not sure what part they play in all this but I don't like either one. Finally, who grabbed Carrie? Mark, the Professor, Eric or Brian??? Guess I have to wait for book 2
Wow where is the next book
Wow but dang I need the next book now. Great storyline. Author does a wonderful job of dragging you into the story and making you feel like you are there with them. Wasn't expecting that last chapter to end quite that way
Full of emotion and suspense!
Oh my! Where do I start? I loved this book! It is full of emotions, questions and suspense from page one.
Carrie is emotionally damaged after the arrest, conviction and death of her father. Suddenly she has the opportunity of a lifetime to return to her hometown; the place where everything that was once wonderful turned into a nightmare overnight. In returning, she is met at every turn by her ex-boyfriend, Mark. She has to deal with her unresolved feelings for him and her anger that she still harbors for him. The two very powerful emotions are at constant battle when she is with him. In addition, she has to deal with everything with her new job and the man that she believes is responsible for her father's demise.
This book is loaded with twists and turns! The questions keep coming and you are not sure who to trust. The ending is a cliffhanger but the good news is that the next installment is right around the corner! Five big stars and bring on book #2!
