Publisher Description
Abstract The mass movement of workers out of agriculture has left millions unemployed as they struggle to find jobs in urban areas. While educated members of society can join the growing IT sector, those with little to no education remain impoverished, which is not only a problem of human development, but of economic growth for India. In order to create jobs and boost the Indian economy, I propose the re-industrialization of India and offer a variety of policy recommendations to aid in the development of a strong manufacturing sector.
